Day 01 : Arrive Lucknow + Sightseeing

Arrive Lucknow and transfer to Hotel. 

Lucknow is a historically important city and for many centuries was at the heart of North Indian culture. In particular, the city was famous for its Adab and Tehzeeb (manners and hospitality), intricate embroidery, beautiful gardens and dance forms such as Kathak. It was also one of the sites of the 1857 Indian Mutiny (or First War of Indian Independence). The Hindi spoken in Lucknow is considered the most beautiful and gentle in the country. Currently the city has a population of around 2.5 million.

On arrival in Lucknow transfer to Hotel. Later in the evening enjoy full day sightseeing tour of Lucknow visiting – Bara Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, Rumi Darwaza, Hussainabad Clock Tower, British Residency, Dilkusha Palace, Ambedkar Memorial Park etc. Return back to hotel and stay overnight.

Day 02 : Lucknow – Dewa Shariif  – Ayodhya [160 Kms : 3-4 Hours] – Ayodhya [135 Kms 2-3 Hours]

After breakfast drive to Ayodhya en-route visiting Dewa Sharif. Later after this continue driving to Ayodhya.

Ayodhya is one of the major holy cities of Hinduism – the world’s 3rd largest religion. It has a central role in the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana, whose protagonist Lord Rama is God incarnated on Earth as the prince of Ayodhya. The epic describes Lord Rama’s 14 year exile, his victory over evil and his grand return with his wife Sita to Ayodhya to become king. This return to Ayodhya is celebrated as Diwali, the leading festival of hundreds of millions of Hindus world-wide. Consequently Lord Rama’s reign over Ayodhya and its surroundings, called Ram Rajya, is the epitome of good governance and moral society in the Hindu tradition.

On arrival in Ayodhya visit to Ram Mandir, Moti Mahal, Kanak Temple, Hanuman Garhi etc. Later after this drive back to Lucknow and stay overnight.  


Day 03 : Lucknow – Prayagraj [200 Kms : 3-4 Hours]

After breakfast drive to Prayagraj.

Prayagraj is among the largest cities in Uttar Pradesh. Hindu mythology has it that for the Prakrishta Yajna, Lord Brahma, the creator God of the Trinity, chose a land on earth, on which the three rivers would flow in to a quiet confluence. Brahma also referred to it as Tirth Raj or the King of all pilgrimage centres. Recorded evidence also exists in the revered scriptures (the Vedas and the grand epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, as also in the Puranas) of this holy place formerly called Prayag. Allahabad stands at the confluence of two of India’s holiest rivers, the Ganga and the Yamuna. Sangam, as the confluence is called, is the venue of many sacred fairs and rituals, and attracts thousands of pilgrims throughout the year. This number swells to millions during the world-famous Kumbh Mela.

Later after visit to Triveni Sangam – where the festival takes place, is the meeting place of three rivers: the Saraswati, Yamuna, and Ganga (Ganges), Mahavir Mandir – One of the oldest temple in Allahabad and Anand Bhavan is the former residence of Nehru family which has now been transformed into a museum showcasing various artefacts and articles of the era of Independence movement in India.

Later after this return back to Hotel and stay overnight.


Day 04 : Prayagraj – Chitrakoot – Prayagraj [110 Kms : 1-2 Hours]

After breakfast enjoy same day excursion of Chitrakoot.

Chitrakoot is known as ‘Teerth of Teerths’. It is considered to be one of the holiest cities in India. Located on the border of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, (132 km south of Allahabad & 175 km from Khajuraho) on the banks of Mandakini River. The religious and historical importance brings in crowds of visitors throughout the year. ‘Chitra’ literally means “beautiful” and ‘koot’ means “mountain.” The name of the city comes from its location in the northern spurs of the Vindhyas. ‘The hills of many wonders’ blesses visitors spiritually and charms with its treasure of natural forests, gurgling streams and beautiful falls.

On arrival in Chitrakoot visit to visiting Kamadgiri Mountains, Ram Ghat, Gupt Godavari Caves, Bharat Milap Temple etc.

Later after this drive back to Prayagraj and stay overnight.


Day 05 : Prayagraj – Varanasi [130 Kms : 2-3 Hours]

After breakfast drive to Varanasi. On arrival in Varanasi transfer to Hotel.  

Later in the evening visit to Ghat to witness the grand evening Aarti ceremony.

Return back to Hotel and stay overnight.


Day 06 : In Varanasi

Start your day with sunrise boat ride [Pick up from Hotel at 05:30 AM] 

Varanasi boat ride at the time of sunrise from Dashashwamedh Ghat to Manikarnika Ghat is the most resplendent ride that takes you across heritage of Varanasi. This ride starts when the sun is just about to come up the horizon. As you glide across waters you can see entire river being engulfed in orange and red hues of the early morning Sun. On alighting at the burning Ghat you can see various cremation rituals. You can also witness people offering Tarpan to their ancestors.

Later after this visit to Vishwanath Temple – The temple stands on the western bank of the holy river Ganga, and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, the holiest of Shiva temples, The Vishalakshi Temple or Vishalakshi Gauri Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Goddess Vishalakshi at Mir Ghat on the banks of the Ganges and Annapurna Mata Mandir – This temple has great religious importance in Hinduism and is dedicated to the goddess Annapurna Devi. Annapurna Devi is a Hindu goddess for nourishment and is a form of Goddess Parvati.

Later after this return back to Hotel.

After breakfast enjoy city tour of Varanasi visiting Banaras Hindu University – Largest Residential university in India and Asia, Mother India Temple – A 3 digtal map of India Very unique and only of its kind, Tulsi Manas Temple – A former residence of late and great poet and writer Tulsidas, Durga Temple also known as Monkey Temple and finally visit to an Ashram – Residence of Hindu Monks and Pundits. See, meet and talk to them with help of your guide. We have termed it as “Spiritual Interaction’’.

Return back to hotel and stay overnight.


Day 07 : in Varanasi  

Before breakfast visit to Kal Bhairav Temple – The Lord Brahma’s head (held by Kaal Bhairav) fell at the ground known as Kapal Mochan and the place famed as the Kapal Mochan Teerth. From that day onwards, Kaal Bhairav stayed at Kashi forever and protects devotees from their problems.

After breakfast check-out from Hotel and visit to Sarnath. See here Ruins of Sarnath, Budhha Temple, large Buddha statue, Archeological museum and deer park.

Later in the afternoon visit to Muslim Silk Weaving area to see the demonstation of Silk Saree Weaving by hand etc.

Return back to hotel and stay overnight.  


Day 08 : Departure transfer

Morning at your own leisure.

Later at an ideal time transfer to Varanasi airport to catch your flight for onward destination.
