The romantic description of a ghat hotel often leaves out steps. Riverfront movement can involve uneven stone, narrow passages and busy pedestrian areas. A lift inside the hotel does not remove every walking section outside it. How sightseeing changes from a ghat-side base
If you are already on the river, the sunrise programme can begin with less road travel, but Sarnath, BHU and other outlying sights still require a vehicle connection.
