Where our information comes from
Practical details are informed by our local operations team, guides, drivers, guest movements, site visits and the arrangements we reconfirm while planning real journeys. This is particularly important for temple approaches, river conditions, walking distances, vehicle restrictions, monument opening patterns and road sectors.
What “Last locally checked” means
When a page carries a “Last locally checked” note, it means the practical guidance on that page has been reviewed against our recent on-ground operating experience. It is not a guarantee that a temple, road, river or security procedure cannot change afterwards. Important arrangements are reconfirmed again close to travel.
Our priority destinations
We give the deepest operational treatment to Varanasi, Ayodhya, Lucknow and the Buddhist Circuit, including Sarnath, Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, Nalanda, Vaishali, Kushinagar and related pilgrimage routes. Delhi, Agra, Mathura and Vrindavan may appear within longer journeys, but Tour Varanasi is not intended to become a generic all-India travel encyclopedia.
Authorship and review
Travel-guide pages are written or reviewed by the Tour Varanasi Operations Team. Where individual specialist input materially shapes a page, we may identify that contributor. Our purpose is to make authorship and responsibility clear rather than to create artificial expert profiles.
First-hand experience
We aim to include information that matters during an actual journey: where a vehicle realistically stops, how much walking to expect, when a boat or local e-rickshaw may be required, which sightseeing combinations work naturally, how senior travellers may need a different pace and which conditions can change at short notice.
Images
We prefer our own operational and guest-experience photographs where permission allows. For supporting destination imagery we may also use appropriately licensed sources. Captions and alt text are written to describe the image and its relevance rather than to repeat keywords.
Use of digital tools
Digital tools may assist with drafting, editing, translation, formatting, coding and quality checks. Practical travel claims are still reviewed against our operational knowledge and, where appropriate, official or current sources. We do not treat automated text generation as a substitute for local verification.
Corrections and changing information
Travel information changes. If we learn that a published practical detail is no longer accurate, we update it. Temple rules, security arrangements, boating permissions, traffic restrictions, opening hours and festival controls should always be reconfirmed close to the date of travel.
