Ayodhya, with Time for What Matters
An Ayodhya journey often begins with one deeply personal wish: to stand before Ram Lalla, offer a prayer and spend time in the city associated with Lord Rama. The arrangements around that moment deserve care—from a comfortable arrival and a well-chosen hotel to a guide who explains where to go, what to expect and when to pause.
Our luxury Ayodhya tour brings together skip-the-line Ram Mandir darshan, a guided Ram Ki Paidi walk, special front-row chairs for Saryu Aarti with Deep Daan rituals, and visits to Hanuman Garhi and Kanak Bhawan. On the second afternoon, choose between a visit to Nandigram and a boat ride at Guptar Ghat. Private transport, local guidance and planned breaks bring the journey together at a comfortable pace.
This two-night, three-day itinerary gives the principal visits their own time, with the final day reserved for a private transfer to Ayodhya Airport or Lucknow Airport. It can be arranged with accommodation or as a private ground programme if you have already booked your hotel.
The arrangements are personal to your party. We plan the sequence around your arrival, the applicable temple arrangements and the walking you can comfortably manage. Your guide introduces the traditions behind each stop while the local team coordinates the journey between them.
On arrival at Ayodhya airport or your confirmed railway station, meet your driver for a private transfer to the hotel. We plan the pickup around your actual service and allow time to settle in, have a meal and rest before the evening outing. An early check-in can be requested separately if your arrival requires it.
If you are travelling from Lucknow, Varanasi or another city, the road transfer can form part of a customised itinerary. We will allow for that journey when planning the first evening.
Later, meet your local guide for a walk around Ram Ki Paidi, visiting Kaleram Temple and Nageshwar Nath Temple en route. These stops introduce the devotional life of Ayodhya before the evening ceremony beside the Saryu.
At Kaleram Temple, allow time for a visit and your guide’s introduction to its traditions. Continue to Nageshwar Nath Temple, associated with the worship of Lord Shiva and situated at Ram Ki Paidi. Your guide explains the stories connected with the temples and helps you follow the local customs during your visit.
The walk allows time to notice the steps beside the water, the surrounding buildings and the people gathering for evening prayers. We adjust the walking pace to your party and allow pauses along the way.
For the evening Saryu Aarti, we arrange special front-row chairs together with Deep Daan rituals. Your guide takes you to the reserved seating and helps coordinate the lamp offering, explaining the sequence so you can participate comfortably.
Deep Daan offers a personal moment within the evening: an opportunity to offer a lamp, express a prayer or give thanks. There is time to understand the ritual before watching the Aarti from your arranged place close to the ceremony.
As the lamps are raised and prayers fill the riverfront, settle into the experience without having to search for a place to sit. The combination of the temple walk, lamp offering and front-row seating makes this first evening a meaningful introduction to Ayodhya.
The departure time from your hotel is planned around the evening ceremony. An arrival with sufficient time to check in and rest is recommended, so you can enjoy the complete programme comfortably. Afterwards, return to your hotel. Overnight in Ayodhya.

After an early breakfast, begin the morning at 08:00 AM with Ram Mandir. We arrange skip-the-line darshan with dedicated local assistance, making this central experience a clearly planned part of your luxury Ayodhya tour.
Your local team coordinates the approach, the darshan arrangements and the meeting points. Before leaving the hotel, you are briefed on permitted belongings and the practical sequence of the visit. Standard security checks and temple entry rules still apply.
For many guests, standing before Ram Lalla is the main purpose of the journey. The arrangements around the visit are handled with that importance in mind, allowing you to approach the experience with more attention available for prayer and reflection.
After Ram Mandir, continue to Hanuman Garhi, followed by Kanak Bhawan. This keeps the principal temple visits together during the morning.
Hanuman Garhi involves a substantial flight of steps. Let us know beforehand if anyone in your party needs a gentler approach or wishes to avoid the climb, so the local team can plan their visit appropriately.
At Kanak Bhawan, dedicated to Lord Rama and Sita, take time to appreciate the temple setting and its devotional atmosphere. Your guide introduces the traditions associated with the temple, with room for questions and a comfortable pause before returning.
Return to your hotel for a lunch break and some rest after the morning visits. This interval is part of the itinerary, especially for families travelling with parents or guests who prefer shorter outings.
The afternoon is planned around one experience of your choice.
Choose a visit to Nandigram if you would like to continue the day’s spiritual journey. Travel with your private vehicle and guide, allowing time to explore the sacred setting, learn about the traditions associated with it and offer prayers if you wish.
This option suits guests who would enjoy a further pilgrimage visit beyond the morning’s main temple circuit. Your guide shapes the visit around your interests and the time you would like to spend there.
Alternatively, travel to Guptar Ghat for a boat ride on the Saryu. Time on the river gives the afternoon a different rhythm, with an opportunity to enjoy the riverfront views and share a quieter experience with your travelling companions.
The local team coordinates the boarding arrangements and checks that the boat and access suit your party. The ride remains subject to river conditions and local boating permissions. If boating is restricted, we discuss the Nandigram visit or another suitable adjustment with you.
Choose either Nandigram or the Guptar Ghat boat ride for this afternoon. We confirm your preference when preparing the itinerary, so the day remains comfortable rather than trying to fit both experiences into the same period.
Return to your hotel. Overnight in Ayodhya.

Enjoy breakfast and check out according to your flight schedule. Your chauffeur will transfer you privately to Ayodhya Airport or Lucknow Airport, whichever you have chosen for your onward journey. For a Lucknow departure, the hotel pickup time allows for the longer road transfer and airport check-in.
No sightseeing is scheduled on the departure day. This leaves time for packing and a comfortable departure. Your quotation specifies the selected airport transfer, so the travel arrangements and cost are clear before you book.

We have special contracted rates with all the top luxury hotels in Ayodhya and Lucknow. Tell us your preferred property and room category, or let us suggest a stay suited to your comfort and budget. We will quote the applicable contracted rate for your dates, subject to availability and the hotel’s booking conditions.
Ayodhyam, Ayodhya – IHCL SeleQtions is one option we can consider when preparing a luxury stay. Your proposal will name the selected hotel, room category, meal plan and booking terms for your dates.
Please tell us if you need twin beds, adjoining rooms, step-free access or a bathroom arrangement suitable for an older traveller. These details need checking with the selected property.
Already booked your stay? We can plan the private car, guide and sightseeing around your hotel.
If you would like to enjoy both Nandigram and the Guptar Ghat boat ride, an extra night allows each experience its own time. Additional temple visits, including Dashrath Mahal, or a separately arranged prayer experience can also be discussed.
Deep Daan is already part of the first evening’s Saryu Aarti arrangement. For any additional priest-led ritual, tell us its purpose in advance so the location, priest’s services, materials and charges can be agreed clearly. Personal offerings remain your choice.
These additions are planned around the main programme. They are not automatically placed on your departure morning.
The private programme includes:
The final quotation specifies your chosen afternoon experience, departure airport, vehicle, guide duty periods, e-rickshaw arrangements and all confirmed inclusions. Breakfast references follow your hotel’s booked meal plan.
Your itemised quotation identifies all included charges and any costs payable separately. The skip-the-line Ram Mandir arrangement, front-row Saryu Aarti chairs, Deep Daan and your selected afternoon experience form part of the described ground programme.
Share your arrival and departure details before the itinerary is finalised. Temple schedules, crowd levels, security procedures and traffic restrictions can affect the order of visits, particularly around festivals and major observances.
Wear clothing suitable for temple visits and footwear that is comfortable to walk in and easy to remove. Your local team will brief you on current restrictions relating to phones, bags and other belongings before darshan.
For guests with limited mobility, tell us how far you can walk and whether you can manage steps or stand in a queue. We will check the assistance available for your date and explain any limitations. A private car and e-rickshaw can help with parts of the journey, but they do not remove every walking section.
Tell us your travel dates, number of guests, arrival point, hotel preference and any mobility or dietary requirements. We will prepare a private proposal with the daily plan, service details and a clear price.
Whether Ayodhya is the main purpose of your journey or part of a longer visit to Lucknow and Varanasi, we can shape the arrangements around the experiences that matter most to you.
